Explore Halsey, Oregon

Halsey is one of the communities that make up the mid-Willamette Valley with a population just over 700.

As the new railroad passed through town, Halsey was a shipping point for the wheat produced by the surrounding farms.

Now, the surrounding area is a world leader in the production of grass seed. There are also quite a few commercial plant nurseries in the area, some of which are open to the public.

There are plenty of reacreational opportunities with great roads nearby for biking, as well as fishing and boating on the Willamette River. If that's not for you, there are also a number of wineries and golf courses nearby.

Halsey is just 25 miles from Eugene and Springfield Oregon, and about 20 miles from Albany and Corvallis.
